Becoming an LPG Australia Member or Associate
Categories of Membership
As of 18 August 2011 LPG Australia adopted a new Constitution and Associate Alliance Deed. Under the new Constitution and Associate Alliance Deed, the current Membership model dissolved and the new subscription process begun under two main categories, Membership and Associateship. Members are bound by the Constitution and are directly involved in all aspects of the association, Associates are bound by the Associate Alliance Deed and are not Members. They have the opportunity to choose what groups, discussions, meetings and over all involvement and commitment within the Association.
Membership Grades
Executive Member
Executive Members consist of major marketers, suppliers, companies and organisations within the Gaseous Fuels Industry. The Executive Member is entitled to nominate a person for appointment within their company to one Director position on the Board who is approved by the Advisory Council. They will have access to all documents and areas of the association, can make recommendations, vote and attend committees and upon request can receive any information relating to the Company.
Advisory Council Member – Grade 1
Advisory Council Member – Grade 1 consists of Vehicle OEM, major equipment suppliers, major transporters, companies and organisation. Advisory Council Member – Grade 1, is entitled make recommendations and vote at committee meetings and receive copies of information on request.
Advisory Council Member – Grade 2
Advisory Council Member – Grade 2 consists of equipment suppliers, marketers, manufactures, companies and organisations. Advisory Council Member – Grade 2, is entitled to make recommendations and vote at committee meetings, receive copies of information upon request and has limited access to products and services as determined by the Board.
Advisory Council Member – Grade 3
Advisory Council Member – Grade 3 consists of manufacturers, associations, retailers, state authorities, regional distributors, consultants, companies and organisations. Advisory Council Member – Grade 3, is entitled to make recommendations and vote at committee meetings, receive copies of information upon request and has limited access to products and services as determined by the Board.
Member
An Ordinary Member consists of regional distributers, consultants, training bodies, installers, small companies and organisations. An Ordinary Member is entitled to attend and make recommendations at certain Committee Meetings as determined by the Board, has limited access to all information and limited access to all products and services.
Associateship Grades
Executive Associate
Executive Associates consists of but is not limited to refiners of LPG, CNG and/or LNG. Refiners may only apply for Executive Associateship unless otherwise determined by the Board. Executive Associates will be entitled to appoint one Director to the Board. They will be entitled to attend, make recommendations and vote at Committee meetings. They will be entitled to access all products and services and may receive copies of information on request.
Advisory Associate – Grade 1
Advisory Associate – Grade 1 will be entitled to attend and make recommendations at Committee meetings, will have limited access to information relating to the Company and will be entitled to all products and services.
Advisory Associate – Grade 2
Advisory Associate – Grade 2 consists of but is not limited to producers of LPG, CNG and/or LNG. Producers may only apply for Advisory Associate – Grade 2 unless otherwise determined by the Board. Advisory Associate – Grade 2 will be entitled to attend and make recommendations at Committee meetings, will have limited access to information relating to the Company and will be entitled to limited access to products and services.
Associate – Grade 1
Associate – Grade 1 will be entitled to attend and make recommendations at certain Committee meetings and will be entitled to limited access to products and services.
Associate – Grade 2
Associate Grade 2 will be entitled to limited access to products and services.
